We are pleased to announce that NICOLE FRASER is the successful candidate for the position of Managing Business Consultant at the Muskoka Small Business Centre, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Dave Connell.


Nicole has been with the MSBC in the role of Business Consultant for Youth since August 2014 and has demonstrated a unique ability to positively interact with all types of people. Coupled with her passion for helping entrepreneurs succeed, Nicole brings enthusiasm and inspiration to all her client discussions. Nicole has an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University and brings practical small business experience to the position through her former role as manager of her family’s Magnetawan Home Hardware Building Centre.

Muskoka Small Business Centre is seeking an energetic, self motivated Small Business Consultant for Youth.


The ideal candidate will:

Have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Marketing or a similar area of study
Have practical experience in business, marketing, office management, event planning, or related field
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
Have excellent communication skills
Have superior computer skills, including database, website maintenance and social media
Enjoy working with people including students and youth (under 30)
Experience operating your own business is considered an asset


Duties will include but are not limited to:

Co-ordinating and delivering youth entrepreneurship programs including Starter Company and Muskoka Bizplan Challenge
Making presentations to school groups, youth groups, and the public
Assisting with business startup
Assisting with business plan preparation, review and evaluation
